Jake and Gabby

Gabrielle Aikens is a 16-year old, Redland High School Junior. She has had major parts in the Crossroads Middle School musicals Honk and Willie Wonka. This past season she played Apple Bottom Teen in the Redland production of Bye Bye Birdie. She has had singing parts in productions by the Harrisburg Youth Opera and The State Street Academy.
Gabrielle has performed solos for many weddings and is regular soloist at her church. She opened an Orioles baseball game on July 28th, 2009, with her accapella rendition of our National Anthem. Gabrielle has been studying voice for the past 3 years at the Tara Savarino Voice studio in New Cumberland. She has been singing with her grandfather since she was a baby.

Jake Aikens is Gabrielle's grandfather. He is a self taught guitar player. Has been a "fireside sing-a-long player" for a long time. Jake plays guitar a sings in a Worship Band at his church. He has particularly enjoyed playing with Gabrielle and watching her develop as a vocalist.

Gabrielle and Jake will provide a variety of folk, blues and pop songs done with the acoustic guitar, several with animal themes.
