Dear Sponsor,

I am participating in the Central PA Animal Alliance’s (CPAA) Grateful Dog Walk.  All proceeds will help fund the adoption and spay/neuter efforts of our rescue/shelter partners.  You can sponsor me for any amount since every dollar collected through pledges directly helps animals in need in our community.  No pledge amount is too small!  Please make all checks payable to CPAA.  CPAA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so all contributions are tax-deductible.  Thank you!

The Grateful Dog Walk

Sunday, September 17, 2006  (Rain-date September 24)

Pre-register online at www.cpaawoofstock.com or 9:00 a.m. the day of the Walk.

The Walk begins at 10 a.m.

The CPAA Grateful Dog Walk is a fun, fit activity for anyone who has ever loved an animal or wished they could help needy animals in our community.  Each participant will be raising funds to benefit the individual rescue/shelter partners of the Central PA Animal Alliance (CPAA) or CPAA and its programs.  Please visit www.cpaa.info for a list of our member organizations and for more information on CPAA’s programs.

Every pledge directly helps a needy animal in our community so no amount is too small.   Let’s make this pledge walk a terrific success for our rescue partners.  The more contributions you raise, the more successful we’ll be at achieving our goal.  Thank you so very much for your participation!

Rules

1.       Registration - Register on line at www.cpaawoofstock.com.  Registration is $20.00 and must be submitted to CPAA, 1802 Silver Pine Circle, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 by September 10.  If you miss this deadline, you may still collect pledges and register the day of the Walk.  Day of the Walk registration is $25.00.  Registration fees waived with pledge amounts of $50+ and designated to the CPAA Spay/Neuter Fund

2.       All pledge money is due the day of the walk and checks should be made payable to CPAA or the CPAA member rescue/shelter of your choice.  Participants may choose CPAA or any CPAA rescue/shelter partner to benefit from their collected pledges.  The ENTIRE amount of the pledges collected goes directly to the rescue/shelter partner named on the pledge sheet.

3.       When collecting pledges, please ask whether the person’s employer has a donation-matching program.  If so, the pledge may be doubled once the appropriate paperwork has been completed and submitted.

4.       Sponsors making a pledge should write their own name and pledge amount.  All pledges will be tallied and a check for the total amount will be issued to CPAA or CPAA’s participating rescue/shelter partners, depending upon which organization is designated to receive the pledges.

5.       On the day of the Walk, all participants should report to the registration table at the Walnut Street Bridge area on City Island by 9:00 a.m. to sign in and receive their walker number.

6.       Upon completion of the Walk, participants are invited to enjoy the rest of CPAA’s WoofStock festivities beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Riverfront Park.

7.       Keep your dog on a short leash.  Vaccinations should be up to date with a rabies tag.  If your dog is not already spayed/neutered, please visit the spay/neuter booth at WoofStock for information.

We look forward to all our participants having a great time!  For questions or to volunteer, call
