Central Pennsylvania 'born and bent' Vocalist/Bassist Jon Skiffington has returned to full-tilt/full-time playing.  After 25 years, U.S and European tours, Recording and Performing 4000+ gigs as a  bassist and singer, father and finally carpenter Jon has has now 're-turned' a corner and reinvented himself as a guitarist/singer/songwriter often known simply as “SKIFF.”  Keeping true to his roots SKIFF's music and interpretations stay close to the people he grew up listening to.  Echoes of musical influences such as Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Buffet, Young and Cash are felt in a unique portrayal.  With his ears still on and mind in the now there are constantly new adds like Radio head, Jack Johnson, Alan Jackson and so many more.  With SKIFF’s latest recording of the home-spun “Strange Packages”” you’ll find Jon delivers his pent up passion for music poured into a handful of his own tunes. 

    In performance, JON SKIFF’s own songs sit strongly in a mix of his favorite artists and repertoire.  Being a late 60’s, to 90's radio head, raised on FM, his recognizable cover material is folk rock’n, blue collar acoustic Americana that will make you feel right at home.  Having been a carpenter as well as many other supporting roles JON SKIFF connects legitimately with the hard working man and woman.  Often Skiff involves the audience on the spot making every performance  unique, engaging and memorable.  

Be sure that bass playing is not over and  a bunch of projects are still happening.  On the bass guitar SKIFF has been dubbed the 'One call' bassist of Central Pa playing most every style.  With a full performance schedule you may see Skiff sitting in with bands like Krypton City Blues Review, Blues Thursdays @ the 40&8 Club, Jeffery J.
